Welcome to Clean n' Simple v1.0

Do you ever look at your website and just think that it feels old? I don't keep track, but, I am sure I look at my website on a daily basis, whether it's to answer comments or to just look at how well it is designed. About a month and a half ago I began pondering about a new redesign for samuelwat.com...I wanted something more 'blogger' friendly so it would entice me to post more bulletins. I started out by ditching the dark colors and only keeping the light green. I soon realized that I wasn't very happy with the absence of my dark colors so I began a color scheme restructure until I came up with Clean n' Simple v1.0. I was very happy with the outcome and completed the XHTML/CSS coding, however right before integrating my PHP, I started to miss my big icon boxes of my recent work. So, back to the drawing board again, well sort of. After several mind numbing cold beverages of Kool Aid, Tropical Punch to be exact, eureka! As you can see the new design is a mix and match of different concepts of my design. And, of course the big icon boxes had to be included, so it was. In all honesty, samuelwat.com's previous Red n' Gray template could probably still hold up today (If it followed my needs), but, it's just that designs get old and people, including yourself, like change.

A few minor changes...

One of the first things I wanted to do was get my Fileden pictures on my web site since I am a picture maniac with my new LG Voyager. Secondly, I wanted to do something with the navigation; the absolute positioned navigation was getting on my nerves...at an extreme height. Third, and, probably the least important was the objective to remove any ads not creating revenue.

Finally, Search has arrived. This time it works! HOOAH!

Search was a feature I ended up adding at last minute. It's funny though, because it's my favorite addition even though it was last minute. The search functionality I added in is very impressive...to me at least. You may search a keyword and from there you can switch back and forth based on articles or comment results. Wowsers! So, that's about it, feel free to leave me comments, thanks.
