Welcome to the new and improved samuelwat.com! Feel free to browse around, and make sure to visit our sub sites aswell...
Do you ever look at your website and just think
that it feels old?
I don't keep track, but, I am sure I look at my
website on a daily basis, whether it's to answer
comments or to just look at how well it is
designed. About a month and a half ago I began
pondering about a new redesign for
samuelwat.com...I wanted something more 'blogger'
friendly so it would entice me to post more
bulletins. I started out by ditching the dark
colors and only keep the light notes. I soon
realized that I wasn't very happy with the absence
of my dark colors so I began a color scheme
restructure until I came up with samuelwat.com
v3.0. I was very happy with the outcome and
completed the HTML/CSS coding, however right before
integrating my PHP, I started to miss my big icon
boxes of my recent work. So, back to the drawing
board again, well sort of.
After several mind numbing cold beverages of Kool
Aid, Tropical Punch to be exact, eureka! As you can
see the new design is a mix and match of different
concepts of my design. And, of course the big icon
boxes had to be included, so it was. In all
honesty, samuelwat.com's previous v2.0 template
could probably still hold up today (If it followed
my needs), but, it's just that designs get old and
people, including yourself, like change.
Hi, my name is Samuel Wat...
I am a 18 year old hybrid web designer/programmer/coder. I have been practicing web development for the past 8 years specializing in HTML, CSS, PHP, interface design, application development, and typography. It wasn't until a few years ago that I started to approach more advanced concepts such as web standards, usability, and accessibility -- and ever since my life has never been the same.
In the little free time I have, I like to work on my web site and play video games such as Counter-Strike, Rainbow Six Vegas, and Portal. I haven't turned my Xbox since October, but I still like games at heart -- I suppose I get it from my older brother who used to play Counter-Strike for days on end with his friends. In fact, my brother also has an website, www.rcexpressway.com (may I add it is a very old site, cough).
A bit more about yours truly...
If you are
not cool do not
contact me, if you are which I doubt, email me here.
Other than that, have a good
day...sike!
